We are now looking for an experienced project engineer for an assignment as a resource consultant within the Swedish Transport Administration's National Program for Electricity and Power, area of operations Investment. In this role, you will be part of a professional project organization and work closely with one or more project managers in the execution of technically complex and socially important infrastructure projects.

The projects include, among other things, electrical installations related to railway infrastructure, such as yard and tunnel lighting, suction transformers, and larger power supply installations such as converters with associated support systems, for example, station computers and relay protection. The projects are conducted throughout the country and vary in scope – from smaller assignments to larger investments in the billion class. The work is primarily carried out from the office but also includes site visits as needed.

As a project engineer, you will work closely with project management and provide important support in the planning, execution, and follow-up of projects. The role is varied and suits you who thrive in a coordinating role and want to further develop within project management.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Supporting project managers in planning, follow-up, time, and finance
• Working with forecasts, cost follow-up, and financial administration
• Responsible for project administration and document management
• Coordinating meetings and taking minutes
• Participating in risk management, reporting, and follow-up
• Following up on deliveries from consultants and contractors and quality assuring documents
• Participating in procurements, permit issues, and contract work
• Supporting handover to management and working with management data
• Participating in site visits, inspections, and assessments as needed

Mandatory requirements

All requirements must be clearly stated in the CV, including periods, assignments, scope, and responsibilities.

1. Degree (at least 180 credits or equivalent) in engineering, civil engineering, or construction.
2. At least 24 months of work experience as a project engineer in railways for clients. The work experience must not be older than 5 years from the bid date. The above requirement is verified through at least one (1) reference assignment.
3. Training in standard agreements ABK09, AB04, and ABT06. The above requirement is verified through training/course certificates from the courses that must have been completed within the last 5 years from the last bid date (if the consultant has not completed all courses, they must fund and complete the missing ones within 6 months from the start of the assignment).
4. Documented training BASÄVISTA. The above requirement is verified through an approved and valid course certificate attached to the bid, alternatively, an approved and valid course certificate can be supplemented later, but no later than 2026-06-01.
5. Driving license B and access to a personal car for business travel (approximately once a month).

Assignment information

The contract is valid for 12 months from the date the contract comes into effect. The preliminary start date is 2026-03-30.

Option 1: The client has the unilateral right to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for up to an additional 12 months.

Option 2: The client has the unilateral right to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for up to an additional 12 months.

Scope: The estimated occupancy rate for the assignment is 100% with an annual working time of 1,700 hours.

The stationing location for the resource consultant is Västerås, Malmö, or Gothenburg. This assignment requires physical presence at the Swedish Transport Administration's office 3 days a week.
